This spring, I was selected by Pride Toronto to serve as the Francophone Ambassador. Each year, the organization chooses about ten people to fill “Honoured Positions” and represent the diversity of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. I’m deeply touched by this appointment, especially since my teenaged son originally nominated me, and FrancoQueer supported my nomination.
So I’m preparing a stump speech that I hope to have the chance to deliver during the Pride festivities in June, and I’m also prepping my rainbow wardrobe!
