One part in particular describes how I feel at times since my husband&rsquo;s death:\u00a0\u201c<em>\u2026you can\u2019t block out the gnaw in your stomach, the vice on your lungs, the lump in your throat, and the insistent echo in your brain, the one you have been trying to drown out&#8230;<\/em>\u201d \u00a0\u00bb\u00a0&#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/daretocommunicatenow.com\" target=\"_blank\">Mary Dunne<\/a>, author,<em> Joys, Sorrows and Blessings: Our Walk With Parkinson&rsquo;s<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0I really enjoyed reading your book. Worth reading again, too! The last story\u00a0<em>Where Pigeons Roost<\/em> was especially wonderful. I really wanted her to [SPOILER OMITTED]! I won\u2019t say what the protagonist discovers because part of this story\u2019s joy is the first-person way in which it immerses you in the animistic, magical thinking of the protagonist and her people. \u201cSon of Sun\u201d balances Promethean themes of myth (there, I just gave you another clue) with the decidedly personal as it shows how the heroine\u2019s intelligence and creative thinking lead to great benefit for her tribe. Though it refers to psychic powers and though it\u2019s highly speculative, \u201cSon of Sun\u201d rings convincing and true, and that\u2019s why I deem it best of the book.\u201d \u2013 Elizabeth A. Allen, Tangent Online<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Intol\u00e9rance au velours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CBC Radio called this play \u00ab extremely courageous \u00bb. &#8211; Alvina Ruprecht, CBC Radio<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>First Cool of Summer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0First Cool of Summer\u00a0\u00bb had a great deal of charm and was distinguished by its economy. Young writers tend to over write and over-feel emotions and thoughts. \u00ab\u00a0First Cool of Summer\u00a0\u00bb was observant, true to the characters and situations.
